Olivia Rodrigo has officially kicked off her Unraveled Tour, playing the opening night at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, Connecticut, on Friday. The show marked the start of an 86-date run in support of her third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, which came out in June.
Fans and outlets alike were quick to share what went down on the night, with LADbible reporting that Rodrigo’s dress appeared to “melt off” her body mid-song during the performance, in what’s being described as a wardrobe mishap rather than a planned costume change. It’s already one of the most talked-about moments of the tour so far.
What songs did she play?
Several outlets, including Variety, Billboard, Just Jared and The Big Lead, published setlists from the Hartford show, though reports vary on exact length, with some citing 23 songs and others putting the number at 26. Variety noted its list was being “updated live” and structured the show around different “seasons”, suggesting the setlist may have shifted slightly as the night went on.
Among the tracks widely tipped to feature from the new album are recent singles ‘drop dead’, ‘the cure’ and ‘stupid song’, alongside earlier fan favourites. Given the discrepancies between outlets, the exact running order from the night hasn’t been definitively nailed down, and Nocturnal News will update this piece if an official setlist is confirmed.
What time did the show start, and what’s next?
According to Capital FM, doors and support act Wolf Alice were scheduled for 7pm, with Rodrigo due on stage around 8pm and the show wrapping by 10pm — a two-hour set, or three hours including the support slot. Wolf Alice are opening the tour through the end of October, after which Devon Again take over, with The Last Dinner Party joining as further support from January.
Rodrigo played a second Hartford show on Saturday before the tour heads across North America through to February 2027, finishing with a run of shows at Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome and New York’s Barclays Center. She then crosses to Europe in March for dates in Amsterdam, Munich and Barcelona, before closing out the tour with two nights at London’s O2 Arena. Grace Ives and Die Spitz are lined up to support across the European leg.
This is Rodrigo’s third headline tour, following Sour in 2022 and the 102-show Guts tour across 2024 and 2025. It’s not yet known whether Unraveled will add any dates in Asia, Australia or South America.
Where things stand now
The tour arrives hot on the heels of Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival in August, a women-only lineup she personally curated featuring Chappell Roan, Doechii and Garbage, with Rodrigo closing the night alongside guests including Alanis Morissette, Sarah McLachlan and Stevie Nicks. Proceeds from the festival, boosted by a matching donation from Melinda Gates, raised $20 million for charities supporting women and girls.
For now, fans will have to wait for an official, verified setlist as reports continue to differ slightly on the exact number and order of songs played on opening night. What’s clear is that the Unraveled Tour is officially under way, and it’s already generating plenty of headlines beyond the music.
